What started out as a desire to keep better track my artwork has become much more than expected. The likes, comments and followers are up-lifting. Writing about the journey and reading about others stimulates inspiration and introspection. This community sharing of methods, ideas, experiences (and pretty much everything) prompts one’s imagination and actions to new levels. That is the view from my art-focused view of this blogosphere. There is so much more over every horizon of interest, it is incredible.
This blog is not only a new digital process for me. We have now been to five WordCamps and a number of meetups. If you have the opportunity to attend one of these events I highly recommend it. A full spectrum of people from beginner to expert in blogging, coding, developing marketing and more are gathered to learn, share, help, promote and contribute in so many ways. The speakers (my wife Chrissie spoke this weekend in Montreal) are full of good information on many topics and there are usually multiple rooms with different subjects like blogging tips, coding, developing, marketing, and this time in French and English!
This journey is more than I expected for my sculpture record keeping and sharing idea. It’s becoming something more than I thought it was. Like the sculpting process itself. Like my favorite art. Like life!
This is awesome Chris. I love seeing your work. One of these days I’m going to get one of your stick people pieces for in my office.
