What is it?

Serpent? Eel? What is that? Weird. Where’d that come from?

People would show up at my friends house and bring sticks and rocks and other possible art material for him to work with. Not that he couldn’t find his own material for sculptures or things to photograph, but just because others wanted to help in the process.

This stick was given to me by a friend who found it and knew I would make something with it. It was longer and not shaped quite like it looks now but, the basic face and twisted body was quite obvious and I knew it would be fun to make something with. Just a little cutting, shaping and sanding and there you have it.

This piece is available. For information and any ?s/comments please use contact form below.

  1. Why not give it a fantasy name?

  2. It’s a very intriguing piece, one that can serve as a writing prompt. I would write a story about it entitled, “A Fish Like No Other”
